Venue: HPA/ Hamburg Port Railways and Duisport
Timing: Start 17.01., 14:00 hours at Hamburg/ End 19.01. 17:15 hours at Duisburg/ 23:00 hours at Hamburg
Bus transfer Hamburg - Duisburg - Hamburg will be organized for participants, which may also go home directly from Duisburg by train or via Düsseldorf Airport.

"Short Sea Shipping and Customs in Northern Europe"
Tuesday, 20 September 2011 from 9:30 to 17:00
Museum Ship Cap San Diego, Deck 4, Überseebrücke, 20459 Hamburg, Germany
Customs and border controls are an obstacle for fast and competitive Short Sea Shipping. The conference will deal with options for the reduction of administrative burdens in ports. Aspects of customs procedures between the EU and third countries will be discussed by high level representatives from the industry and administration. Emphasis is given to the resulting benefits and challenges for Short Sea Shipping. Further topics are the implementation of the new EU customs regulations and the consequences of the abolishment of the Free Zone in Hamburg.
Your attendance and active participation in the conference are highly welcome.
Please register by 9th September 2011 using the attached registration form. The entry to the Conference is free, but the number of participants is limited. Please notice that your registration is provisional until it will be confirmed (first come first serve).
